For applications for entry in October 2022, the University of Warwick is providing the Chancellor’s International Scholarships. The University Scholarship will provide top-tier international PhD candidates with full maintenance and tuition support. Any Warwick discipline and any nationality may submit an application.

The Chancellor’s International Scholarships show the University of Warwick’s dedication to fully supporting all of its most outstanding students, regardless of their country of origin, and serve to further the university’s increasingly well-established status as an international institution. Up to 42 Chancellor’s International Scholarships will be offered for the 2022–2023 academic year, and they will be given to the top international and EU PhD applicants. The following two awards will be made available for submission in the autumn of 2022:

Criteria for Selection
- applicants for Chancellor’s International Scholarships must also be submitting an application for a PhD starting in October 2022 at the University of Warwick;
only in their first year of registration, students who are presently enrolled in a PhD or MPhil/PhD at the University of Warwick may apply;
There is no further nationality requirement, save that applicants must anticipate being ‘overseas’ students for fee purposes; - Applicants may come from any Warwick academic department.
- Candidates must have exemplary academic credentials from prior schooling levels to meet the selection criteria.

Awards for the Scholarship
- the complete payment of tuition (up to $24,010)
- a maintenance allowance at UKRI rates (provisional £15,609 for full-time award recipients in 2022–2023; expected to be confirmed in February 2022);
- A £5,000 Research, Training and Supporting Grant
- length of 3.5 years, unless you are already enrolled in your first year of study when you apply in which case the term of support will be shortened.
Where do I Apply?
Before completing the application form, candidates should carefully read the instruction notes, then begin your scholarship application, submit your course application. Also, you must submit your application and any supplementary materials (including transcripts and references) must also be uploaded. Recipients of the Chancellor’s International Scholarship will receive email notifications of their status.
