    The Arizona Board of Regents oversees Northern Arizona University (NAU), a reputable public research university.     Lumberjack Scholars Award

    The in-state full tuition Lumberjack Scholarship at Northern Arizona University has contributed to improving diversity on campus and increasing retention through reachable renewable standards. The scholarship facilitates merit awards for a range of student populations. Lumberjack Scholars are chosen instead of using standardized test results, solely use the courses and grades from high school.

    100% of NAU Flagstaff Mountain Campus tuition is covered (fall and spring terms); fees and other costs are not included. The student is responsible for paying any additional tuition fees that arise from working more hours than were originally granted. For instance, students who transfer to NAU with dual enrollment credits may surpass the 145 credit cap earlier and are responsible for the additional tuition fees.

    Selection is based on the completion of the 16 college preparatory (core) courses that are necessary for admission and/or ongoing work in those courses, as well as a minimum 3.5 unweighted core high school GPA with no letter grade lower than “B” in any of the required core courses (no deficiencies in core classes). Please be aware that by the time you graduate from High School, you must have completed all 16 core courses by the deadline.

    Dean Scholarship

    Northern Arizona University offers freshman with a 3.0-3.49 unweighted core high school GPA and SAT scores of at least 990 in both Math and Reading a Dean’s Tuition Scholarship worth $5,000 each year. If you keep your total GPA at or above 3.0-3.49, awards are renewable. Apply now!

    Additional details: Renewing standards To advance to the next academic level, you must keep your cumulative GPA at 2.75, enroll in full-time classes, and earn enough credits each year (30 credits to be a sophomore; 60 credits to be a junior; 90 credits to be a senior).     Eligibility: Only Western Undergraduate Exchange students are eligible.

    The President’s Scholarship

    Coconino First

    Award amounts: $2,000 throughout the course of two academic years.

    Selection/Eligibility: Coconino County residents enrolled at the Flagstaff campus

    Renewal Criteria: Keeping a 2.0 cumulative NAU GPA is a requirement for renewal.

    NB: This scholarship can be used to cover the cost of tuition, on-campus housing, or meal plans.

     

    General standards

    Required of all scholarships, unless specifically stated in the details of each grant aspect.

    Citizenship: Students must be eligible for the Arizona Proposition 300 Public Program.

    • A student may only use this option for their first baccalaureate degree.
    • Enrollment: At the time of disbursement, you must be enrolled full-time.
    • These prizes solely cover tuition; they do not cover fees or any additional costs.
    • Campus: You must go to the campus on Flagstaff Mountain.

    For the upcoming academic year, the admission offer must be accepted and the enrollment deposit must be paid by May 1. Transcripts from high school must be submitted in accordance with the award letter’s instructions if you receive one.

    Eligibility requirements
    • Upon enrollment, students are automatically eligible for these awards. No additional application is necessary.
    • Calculate your net price to see which tuition scholarships you might be qualified for; findings are merely estimations.
    Renewal Standards

    For as long as the student satisfies the renewal requirements each year, they are eligible for eight semesters, applied solely to the autumn and spring semesters.

    Reinstatement

    You must submit a Scholarship Reinstatement Request by the priority date for the relevant semester if you are unable to complete any of the renewal requirements due to extenuating circumstances. The reinstatement of the award is not assured by the submission of this request.
