The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship, the most prominent higher education scholarship program provided by the Hungarian Government, offers a choice of courses for international students with outstanding academic records. The program, which was started by the Hungarian government in 2013, is managed by the Tempus Public Foundation and is under the direction of the ministry of foreign affairs and commerce.

Coverage of STIPENDIUM HUNGARICUM Scholarships
The following advantages are available to recipients of Hungary Government Scholarships:
Free tuition and a monthly stipend
Until the end of the academic year, a monthly contribution of HUF 43,700 (about EUR 130) to cover living expenses in Hungary is required.
Doctoral level: Every current Hungarian law, the monthly scholarship amount is HUF 140 000 (about EUR 450) for the first phase of education (4 semesters) and HUF 180 000 (roughly EUR 580) for the second phase of education (4 semesters) – for 12 months per year, till the end of studies.
Support for Accommodation
For the duration of the scholarship period, free housing or a monthly payment of HUF 40.000 to cover housing expenses will be provided.
Please be aware that the HUF 40 000 per month is a payment to the rental expenses if the student does not live in the dormitory, and that in larger cities, notably the capital city, this contribution may not cover the full amount of rental charges.
Health care services as defined by Hungarian law (Act No. 80 of 1997, national health insurance card), as well as supplemental medical insurance for up to HUF 65 000 (about EUR 205) per year/person.
ELIGIBILITY STIPENDIUM HUNGARICUM SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
The following prerequisites must be satisfied in order for candidates to be considered for Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarships:

a scan of a medical certificate stating that you are in good health, issued no earlier than November 15, 2022.
A medical professional must create and sign certificates demonstrating that the applicant is free of the following conditions: Hepatitis A, B, or C, AIDS, or any other widespread illness
Identification Copying documents
The passport scan must be uploaded if the applicant already has a passport.
The candidates should attach a scanned copy of any document that could be used to confirm their identification if they do not yet hold a passport (e.g. national ID card)
Application Statement Acceptance in the Online System
The “Statement of Application” must be accepted by all candidates.
It is not necessary to upload scanned or signed copies of the statement because it can only be accepted online.
All applicants must accept the statement before submitting their application via the online application system after enrolling.

How to submit a scholarship application
The actions listed below should be followed in order to apply for this scholarship:

The available study areas change depending on the partner nation. You can either start an application through the DreamApply system and choose the suitable study program, or you can check the study field offered for your nation on the SH website. Register and add your documents.
The application is processed through an online application system (apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu). Despite having access to 29 universities and colleges and more than 600 academic possibilities, there are just two choices. Make sure the programs you select are appropriate for your field of study. Remember to select a supervisor if you decide to apply for PhD study. Depending on your country of citizenship and academic level, other documents may be needed. Partner nominations are sent
Sending partners will choose the top candidates by the end of February, and nominated applications will be sent to the chosen Hungarian higher education institutions.
